HINEPŪTEHUE PRINT

Hinepūtehue is the Māori atua wāhine associated with sound, breath, healing, and the pūtētehue (gourd flute). She is the sacred keeper of vibration and voice, carrying the essence of communication between body, spirit, and emotion.

Through her, sound is not only heard, it is felt, moving through the body as a form of release, connection, and restoration.

She reminds us that the voice is sacred, and that expression is a pathway to healing.

Hinepūtehue represents healing, expression, intuition, emotional release, and embodied truth.

She is the resonance of breath becoming sound, the transformation of what is held within into vibration and movement.

In Māori tradition, Hinepūtehue is associated with the pūtētehue, a gourd instrument used to create sound through breath and vibration. She is connected to the idea that sound carries both physical and spiritual significance, acting as a bridge between inner emotion and outward expression.

Her presence reflects the understanding that voice and breath are sacred tools for communication, healing, and connection. Through sound, emotion is released, energy is moved, and balance is restored within the body and spirit.

Hinepūtehue is often understood as the embodiment of the voice of spirit, the idea that sound itself can carry intention, memory, and healing across both seen and unseen realms.

We use Fine art smooth paper 260gsm which is a heavyweight matt coated paper with a neutral white shade.

All prints are made to order. Please allow 5–7 business days for production, in addition to shipping time. Orders containing multiple items may be fulfilled and shipped separately, so they may arrive at different times. Separate shipping charges will apply for each product type.

RETURNS

As each print is made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order and we will work with you to resolve the issue.
