PAPATŪĀNUKU PRINT

Papatūānuku is the Māori Earth Mother, the original source of all life, nourishment, and creation. She is the living embodiment of whenua (earth) and the foundation from which all living things are born, sustained, and eventually returned.

In Māori cosmology, Papatūānuku and Ranginui (Sky Father) were once held in a deep embrace. Their separation brought light, breath, and space into the world, allowing all life to emerge.

We are not separate from her , we are formed by her, sustained by her, and one day we return to her.

Papatūānuku represents grounding, nourishment, patience, reciprocity, and natural cycles of life.

She reminds us that everything moves in rhythm and relationship, and that nothing is ever lost, it simply transforms:

seed → rest → growth → bloom → release → return

Her presence calls us back to simplicity, to the body, to nature, and to stillness. Modern understanding also reflects this truth: time in nature restores balance, calms the nervous system, and supports wellbeing.

Papatūānuku teaches us that healing is not something we search for, it is something we return to through connection with the earth that has always held us.

We use Fine art smooth paper 260gsm which is a heavyweight matt coated paper with a neutral white shade.

All prints are made to order. Please allow 5–7 business days for production, in addition to shipping time. Orders containing multiple items may be fulfilled and shipped separately, so they may arrive at different times. Separate shipping charges will apply for each product type.

RETURNS

As each print is made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order and we will work with you to resolve the issue.
