MAHUIKA PRINT

Mahuika is the Māori atua wāhine of fire and the guardian of the sacred flame. She embodies the life-giving force of fire, bringing warmth, light, protection, and transformation.

In Māori tradition, Mahuika is known as the keeper of fire, carrying its essence within her fingernails. When Māui sought to discover where fire came from, he visited Mahuika and repeatedly asked for her gift of fire. Through this encounter, the sacred nature and power of fire were revealed, reminding us that fire is a force to be respected, honoured, and used with wisdom.

Mahuika represents the living flame within us all, the energy of courage, passion, creativity, and transformation. She reminds us that true power is not found in destruction, but in the ability to transform, renew, and create.

She teaches that growth often requires release. Just as fire clears the old to make way for new life, we are sometimes called to let go of what no longer serves us so something greater can emerge.

Mahuika reminds us to honour our inner fire, the spark of intuition, purpose, and life force that guides us forward.

Her message is simple: transformation is not something to fear, but a natural part of becoming who we are meant to be.

We use Fine art smooth paper 260gsm which is a heavyweight matt coated paper with a neutral white shade.

SHIPPING

All prints are made to order. Please allow 5–7 business days for production, in addition to shipping time. Orders containing multiple items may be fulfilled and shipped separately, so they may arrive at different times. Separate shipping charges will apply for each product type.

RETURNS

As each print is made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order and we will work with you to resolve the issue.
